Bradford has 26 wool shops. It's a big city and one full to bursting, with all creeds and colours of people. It is historically a part of the West Riding of Yorkshire and was importance during the 19th century as an international centre of textile manufacturer, particularly wool. It soon became the ' wool capital of the world'
Bradford has many fine Victorian buildings but the textile sector in Bradford fell into decline in the mid-20th century. Since then Bradford has emerged as a tourist destinations with attractions such as National Media Museum and Cartwright Hall. With neighbouring towns and villages of Leeds, Halifax and Keighley, there are sure to be many more wool shops to be found.
