Local Librarian Beefs Up Knitting Book Collection

A librarian from Cleveland Public library US, has beefed up the collection of handicrafts with a bevy of knitting and crochet books.
Diane Matthews, a grandmother of three, died in March 2010 of ovarian cancer. She was just 62, and loved to knit for her family, friends and charity. She donated the books in a bequest. Now her generosity lives on, thanks to the warmup Cleveland project that her co-workers started in her honour at the library and its neighbourhood branches.
It's a yarn worth telling. Matthews also donated a huge pile of yarn which the other librarians are teaching others to knit with.
'We see the great need in the library,' said one librarian.' You see children at the library with no hats no gloves in the winter the homeless lots of people struggling in so many ways.'
We think Diane would be very proud indeed.
