Description: 28th May - 25th June 2011
As usual, the Festival takes place in The Minerva Arts Centre in
Llanidloes at the heart of beautiful mid-Wales. There many events
taking place during the festival, and a wide range of crafts on display
and for sale. Please browse this site for more information.
This exciting annual festival, now in its sixth year, showcases the
distinctive work of designers, makers and producers of natural
materials in mid-Wales and the Borders. The popular ‘Learning
Curve’ offers a programme of workshops with a range of exciting
experiences for everyone. From knit, crochet, weaving, wet and dry
felting and creative textiles to garden structures, traditional willow
baskets, garlands and free-form willow structures. Please use the
booking form on the ‘Learning Curve’ page to secure a place on a course
as numbers are limited on each course. Each day, and especially
on ‘Willow Wednesdays’ and ‘Fibre Fridays’, experts will be on hand to
demonstrate related crafts and answer your questions. Take this opportunity to consult with experts, have a go, learn a new skill and buy an original and beautiful item!
